About
TNE Civil has been actively engaged in the Thornlie-Cockburn Link (TCL) since 2020, initially constructing new lining walls of the Glen Iris Tunnel and later returning in 2024 to complete its track slabs and MCR walkway.
Our scope of work on this large-scale infrastructure project across South Metro Perth includes Shotcrete, FRP Structures, Vacuum Excavation, and Electrification Screen Installation, with 800+ linear metres installed across Nicholson Road, Spencer Ave, Kenwick Link Bridge and Kenwick Tunnel. TNE’s extensive FRP works include Capping Beams for the Kenwick Tunnel Dive Structures, Ranford Road Culvert Bases and Pre-cast Installation, Ground Beams from Jandakot, Crash Barriers in Thornlie, TSER Building Footings and Pads throughout the alignment, and an Access Walkway for the Kenwick and Glen Iris Tunnel.
Additionally, we have completed 3,000m² of shotcrete walls with Class 2 steel trowel and sponge finishes, provided five months of remedial works on the existing Kenwick Tunnel (including waterproofing and crack injection), and constructed and installed handrail systems inside the Kenwick Tunnel, along Thornlie’s tracks for service personnel, and in Jandakot for pedestrians.
TNE Civil continues to play a vital role in the TCL project for the METRONET Perth rail network upgrade.
